Episode 10 explores the Nevada Backcountry Discovery Route (NVBDR) and discusses the history and formation
of the Backcountry Discovery Routes Non-Profit Organization. Utilizing a Zoom format, Inna Thorn, Executive
Director, and Michael Bielecki, Routes Manager, explain how the BDR organization assists adventure
motorcyclists plan epic off-road motorcycle trips utilizing BDR route maps, GPS tracks, and regional travel
information. We discuss rider safety initiatives, rural tourism potential, and the economic impact BDR routes
have demonstrated. The NVBDR was the seventh route in the series, covering a 900-mile route starting in
Oatman, Arizona and ending in Jarbidge, NV. It is a challenging, multi-day route that travels through numerous
